Membrane Keypad Solutions
Armstrong offers custom membrane keypads that are specially designed for industrial equipment. These keypads provide exceptional tactile response and are built to withstand the harsh conditions and abuse typically encountered in an industrial setting.
Customization options available:
Graphic Overlays
Digitally and/or screen printed to resemble a wide range of cosmetic surfaces with options of transparent and tinted display windows, textures and UV hard-coat surface finishes, and pillow embossed keys or a cosmetic rim emboss on the graphic overlay.
Backlighting
Improve user experience and stand out from competitors by using custom backlighting. This makes keypads, legends, and displays more readable, especially in low light. Options include Light Guide Film (LGF), Light Emitting Diodes (LED), Electroluminescent (EL) Lighting and Fiber Optic Lighting.
Button Response
Various options are available if your key actuation requires a tactile response - stainless steel domes, embossed polyester domes or tactile embossed graphics.
Circuits
Various circuit options are available for your product requirements. Options include:
- Substrate: Printed circuit board (PCB) or flexible printed circuit (FPC);
- Connectors: Various options available depending on your connector on your product: male connector, female connector, soldered, or ZIF;
- Circuit Protection: ESD, EMI, and RFI protection can be integrated into the circuit
